Re: Chesscuber98 AKA 98codex
I have been experimenting with box pleating recently and came up with a few models
My fencer designed with assymetric boxpleats 16 grid
My first experiment....
let me quote my flickr
Origami Circus Stilt walker
I left the pleats in the leg open so that it would look like wood, I dont want people to think his legs are long

Origami Commando ,Inspired by an old drawing i made when i was young,
It is supposed to be a kind of Futuristic battle suit

Or you could lengthen the arms, and call it a slenderman!chesscuber98 wrote:

Re: Chesscuber98 AKA 98codex
I have not updated this since a very long time, so here we go -
The Roman Scissor
Gladiator weapon. Designed for ODT round 1
3D Hammer also designed for the same challenge.
Clock designed for ODT round 2 ( Very Simple )
My winged heart, designed for valentines day.
My avenger of Horus. Its a transformable model. the 1st picture is the human form. The following 2 is the Avatar form.
Again designed for the ODT
My Origami Phoenix 1.3
If you remember my early phoenix model. This is a huge leap forward. I used Box pleating and Tesselation.
Originally meant for the ODT ( again ) but i couldnt enter it on time.

Re: Chesscuber98 AKA 98codex
And here is the Cp for a preliminary version of the Phoenix.
Its a 1x2 Rectangle.
Tesselating the fan will give you the version 1.2.
The Cp for 1.3 is still under troubleshooting.

I really like the avenger of horus. It seems you've had more success with boxpleating than I have...

Re: Chesscuber98 AKA 98codex
Thank you! I am planning to give away the CP but the main part is in the shaping. So maybe a guided collapse.

Re: Chesscuber98 AKA 98codex
I noticed that the existing peacocks focused mainly only on the fan and left other details. That is what i wanted to acheive in this model. I got the feet as realistic as possible ( But sadly could not thin it down further), The Comb and the wings. Sadly its not perfect. Designed for a duel against Langko.

Re: Chesscuber98 AKA 98codex
Ok so i decided that i am going to upload models designed by other designers as well. So to open up, here is Roman Diaz's Ciervo.(Deer) I changed some details on the face and tried shaping using wires for the first time. I am quite happy with the result
This shows the details on the face.

You have every reason to be happy with the result
By the way, where did you find diagrams?

Deer - Fumiaki Kawahata
Another deer to follow up. I think i got the details on the face, but i am not to proud of this model. The body didnt come out like it should and the front looks to thick to shape.
