Well, Chris, I have to agree with you. I have had the same problem with the head with the 6 cm square : too large, can't reverse it proprely... but finally, I got a satisfied result :
Mini Horses
<left one is 7.5, right one is from a 6 cm square.
What do you think of it ?
I believe that 4 cm is possible. I'll try 5 then 4.

Hey! Nice tries with the horses. A few more days and you will go down to 2cm square.
However today I tried to fold Hideo Komatsu's wolf from cp.
I was folding from usual white xero paper so finally I decided to paint it. I kept the brush in my hand for the first time since kindergarten (what can be noticed )

I guess it's Komatsu's model because i found this site by pressing 'fold/unfold' at Komatsu's site.

I haven't had a chance to Photograph the Others yet. I'm currently working on the Ancient Dragon. I folded my first one out of ten inch foil & added pleats to the belly, I think I'm going to fold one more out of Foil for more practice. I have a 20 inch peice of mulberry paper to fold the final model. I am enjoying folding these new models, I don't have any of the Tanteidan books so this is the first time I've folded anything by Satoshi Kamiya.

Thanks, I folded it with a 16 inch peice of Thai 3-D Marble mulberry paper. Here's a site that has a description.

I finished folding the Dragon and took pictures of the rest of the models in the book. I still have the mammoth left to fold.

There seems to be a lot of effort on making small models. I definitely used to do that for fun. The Kawasaki rose in this picture is something I did relatively recently. It's about a centimeter wide. I forget how big the paper I was using was, but it was 24 lb paper, which isn't ideal for folding small things.
