Chris, I coped with that german instructions of stars you provided. The effect can be seen at my site. These stars are really great!!
You all shoud try to fold them.

The technique really is amazing.
It has been the easiest model to teach others that I've found. (for the time/outcome ratio)
Of course the best part is when you get them to put the paper on top of their head!

Crumple? Me? Never! I "folded" every crease in the model!
Well, ok mabee a little crumple here and there.

Congradulations. Does it move, like his previous cookoo? It's one of those models that makes me doubt my own ability to accomplish something like that.
What kind of paper did you use? Is it a single sheet? Did you precrease? Did you add foil? How long did it take?

No, the clock doesn't move. I used Thai mullbery paper to fold it. I made an 8 by 80 inch sheet following the ratio given to tape pieces together as described it the diagrams in ODS. It took me about 6 hours to cut and assemble the paper and fold the model. I used the measure and fold method to find the landmarks. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but it was difficukt working with such a long strip of paper. I had thouble folding the deer's head and had to unfold and refold that part several times before I figured it out.

Lately I've been folding Insects I recived Manuel Sirgo's Paprioinsectos for Christmas and have started folding those. When I finish with that book I should have 100 diffrent insects folded. Here is a picture of Sirgo's Stick insect I folded yesterday.

'bout the bahamut, steyen, there are 2 version of it.

The one Chris' post shows is the old one, which is in tanteidan 5.
I found photos of other version of it, folded by Kamiya:

Notice the scales on the legs and the foots with claw !

I think the best way to make a perfect bahamut is not to take tissue foil. Your paper, steyen, seems to be very nice. The result is very good.
If I can give you an advice, use a 40 cm steel then put it into the tail. It will make the bahamut lift in the air which make him more impressive !
