Re: [Graph] JOAS membership numbers 2001-2023

You're very welcome! In the first few years looked at JOAS mentioned how there was an increase in membership from the website There's almost a doubling of numbers from 2005-2010 - my personal hypthesis was the Publication of Works of Satoshi #1 in 2005 put his creations in the spotlight, increasing...

[Graph] JOAS membership numbers 2001-2023

(changed wording as sounded weird) (changed chart to updated and corrected numbers) As we wait for 204 and 2024's (technically 2023's) fiscal report, I have gone back 23 volumes and graphed the reported membership numbers. Note: Membership denotes the tier with additional publications (yearly and wi...

Re: OrigamiHouse Next Publication List

Sooooooooooo oooooooooo With only two publications in 2023 (not counting the 1-2 Makoto books) - what's next for my favorite black-spines? Satoshi 4? JOAS Magasin has been writing about the fall of Rome and it has me anxious. Save Origami! Subscribe to JOAS! Every 2 months, 2 issues! Membership guar...

Re: Making double tissue paper in 10 steps

Excellent guide!

Thank you.

Have you tried spray-glue? I use it for tissue-Foil but never tissue-tissue.

I believe there would be wide amount of disadvantages, but am curious as to what they would be

Re: best tanteidan?

The Makoto Yamaguchi books are of extremely high quality "Post pandemic" Tanteidan 27 seems to have added models which were back-logged during, giving it a well deserved boost in interest Do not look past the "Tanteidan Magasines" JOAS has a special right now where you can get back issues at a disco...

Re: Anything in Montréal?

I believe it would be feasible to book a room at the Concordia Webster Library should we gather enough people - I have many time for math class, and I know of a half dozen college -aged peeps who would be interested.

Anything in Montréal?

The Montreal Origami Club seems to have disbanded near a decade ago.

Other than Au Papier Japonais, what resources are there in 2023?

Re: MC vs tissue foil

I make my own Tissue Foil using Spray glue. The only problems I've had with wrinkling is when there is a sudden burst of wind when I place the tissue on the foil. Other than that, the models are pretty darn solid and if you fold a fresh batch, the glue will continue to harden after the model has bee...
