But they only want to help one specific person: the release of young prisoner of conscience Zmitser Dashkevich. Whether or not his release will help others is a moot point... Please don't delete this as spam. It may have been posted by a robot, but the purpose behind it appears to be genuine. I unde...

How about a "tools of the trade" section? I know some people think it's cheating to use anything other than your hands, but over the years I've assembled quite a tool kit including tweezers, various scissors and knives, envelopeners, rotary cutters, cutting mat and steel ruler, innumerable different...

From what I understand of Joel Cooper's working methods, he works out the crease patterns for the separate features first, and then works out ways of joining them with an appropriate tessellating pattern. So he probably has at least partial crease patterns for his faces somewhere in his working note...

I tried selling a couple of pieces on Ebay a while ago - I didn't put much effort into promoting them, I was just testing the water... Anyway, results: 1 enquiry, no bids. If Brian Chan sold his piece on Ebay for $15.00, and the paper cost him $8.00, that means he got $7.00 for his time and his skil...

Had a lot of fun in Leicester. It was great to meet some of you for the first time, and some of you for the umpteenth time :D Special thanks to Emma for organising things. Great photos, Saj. Next time around I don't think I'll bother taking my camera - if you're there, there doesn't seem to be any p...

The 10% discount is still available until March 15 - so book now! I always think it's better to stay at the convention venue, rather than finding accommodation outside - sometimes the folding and drinking goes on late into the night... Hope you can make it, Ondrej. Maybe you can tell Saj all about C...

I will be there, but I will have to leave just after lunch on Sunday - I would stay to the end if I could. So the answer to your question is - yes! Things can fizzle out slightly on the Sunday afternoon as people drift off, but it's always worth staying as long as you can. And come as early as possi...

Wolf: Yeah, sorry. The image is from my website, which for various reasons is deliberately intended to be UK-centric. If I was doing an image just for this forum, I would have included a ruler. Daydreamer: Ummm, can't remember what the starting size was. It was foil wrapping paper - really cheap stu...

Apologies for the confusion caused by my terrible diagrams. This was the first time I ever tried diagramming entirely with a computer - and knowing nothing about drawing software, I did the whole thing in Microsoft Paint. Never again! Hmmm.... with the right paper it should be possible to fold it li...
