Re: Project Ryu Zin 3.5 --> 2024
I havent been here for awhile...so the latest update... The project unfortunately failed...respectively is a bout to fail. My brother-in-law, who is japanese, brought me the book, but still I just dont have the time to figure out everything as it is really complex. Well...the bright side of it is......

Re: Project Ryu Zin 3.5 --> 2024
thanks for the feedback.
Yes, I also want to try a single square as this is a model you do not temp to redo again and again as it will be very time comsuming.
Probably I will be very active soon in the Guiding-Group for Ryu-Zin...

Re: Project Ryu Zin 3.5 --> 2024
Hi... I checked the the helping files in the googledrive and was wondering, if this guide is ment to show how to do the ryu zin 3.5 by glueing several parts into one, or doing it as a complete whole one sheet? https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bzynVlI2wCHSMFqvipVp6tsLR_xCXu8B?usp=sharing ....

Re: Project Ryu Zin 3.5 --> 2024
How far are you now?
Are you also doing some documentation of your steps and foldings?
I will do that, so later I will recall how it did what with what special hints etc...

I dont know how many versions of this humming bird exist, bur I noticed that one version has some legs included. If I see the Robert Lang‘s version, he doesnt display any legs.

Re: Project Ryu Zin 3.5 --> 2024
Hi....
Thanks for the proposal! At home, my space is very limited, so I probably will try with 1 X 1m.
Today my book from Satoshi finally arrived. Did order it straight from japan..
The project can start now...

Re: Michael Lafosse - Cattleya Orchid
Hi there...
I just found a couple of Cattleya Orchids by Michael La Fosse, which someone succeeded to fold. It means it is possible to redo this orchid. I thought it is not possible eventhough with diagrams:
This motivates of course to continue trying:

in the details it says in the artist field: Robert Langorigami_8 wrote:@NeverCeaseToCrease
It's Anna's Hummingbird: https://langorigami.com/artwork/annas-h ... lossoms-2/
probably it is a modified version of Robert Lang‘s Hummingbird.

Re: Need help with Robert Lang's Hummingbird
Hi all.. after a short break, I tried the hummingbird again....what happened? I failed again... This bird doesnt seem to be so complex, but how come it is so difficult to get a close result to robert lang? btw, I also saw a version, where the bird has two legs... I believe that version is not publis...

Re: Need help with Robert Lang's Hummingbird
Hi Oz,
this is a great angle to see everything, especially the short videoclip!
Many thanks! That really helped a lot!
I will try to fold the hummingbird this weekend and post the result in here...
