It's simpler to start with a circle and fold a pentagon onto it. Then, you use the edge of the circle to guide the curved folds in the model.

I would need to see a side shot -- that's the hard part. The rose is foldable from an unmarked circle.

And it's Chapman-Bell. Not that we worry about such things.

The intensely partisan oschene will be in New York, fighting the power by teaching a couple models and maybe a technique or two. At this point, I'm thinking the Petunia Bowl http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2393/2415875127_251c05774c.jpg and the Frangipani Box (Var. 5) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3...

(x – h)² + (y – k)² = r², I guess. Other curves may work, never tried.

The corners fold over and the tension of the model holds it together. Sorry I can't be any clearer than that.

*cough*

Phu Tran has made it very clear he doesn't want people folding his rose. He probably doesn't even want you to be thinking about it. Please try something else.

That's Hebrew and I've yet to find a web interface that translates Hebrew. But paperz' point is well taken - they are admirably clear diagrams.
