Re: Origami Tanteidan Convention book Vol.17

Nope, and I can't speak Japanese either. I believe the most important part is the image with dimensions. Google translate will do a half decent job if you paste the URL into it. The first page is mostly what they expect in model (unique, fun to fold, etc.), how to submit and a form for mail-in. The ...

Re: Origami Tanteidan Convention book Vol.17

The criteria for the diagrams are on here: http://origami.gr.jp/Convention/17th/ConvDiagrams17.pdf This was my 3rd time submitting diagrams, and it finally paid off :D The main problem was I was submitting the same diagrams to OUSA in the past, and they publish first. This year I diagrammed one mode...

Here is my submission for now. Tiger Pelt by me: http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g120/123asd06/DSCF0978-1.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g120/123asd06/DSCF0980.jpg As it turns out, simple tigers with stripes aren't easy to design. I want to try at something more complex, hopefully before th...

Oh no, I completely forgot about this!
I've been wanting to design a really nice tiger for a while now, mainly because its my school's mascot. With first semester wrapping up next week, hopefully I'll have some time make something.

I was thinking that the radioactive symbol could look a bit more realistic with 3 more folds ;)

I didn't see anything from Eric Gjerde in the book... I figure that I would see at least one tessellation. I thought that the Yoshino Issei fund guests were supposed to have diagrams for something, but I guess they did change a lot of things this year. For the most part, I'm pretty happy with whats ...

A heron from a 45-45-90 triangle (half of a square) http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g120/123asd06/DSCF4874.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g120/123asd06/DSCF4878.jpg With some plain blue wire, the stand would look a bit like ripples in the water. Sadly, I don't have anything but the blue-yel...

Thats true, but as someone mentioned they do like the ability to edit it. I have no idea whether the ai files I sent would open with adobe illustrator, but I also sent a PDF just in case.

For some strange reason I can't find it again but I remember to have read somewhere that they like to have files that can be changed afterwards. They say that their favorite file is adobe illustrator, at least thats what I read. My stegosaurus didn't make it in (I sent them the ai files, and asked ...

Hey Goku, I folded the same thing! I tried getting a lot of details, and ended up with a really thick model that is possible to diagram in 30 steps. However, that includes repeat, so I guess it isn't eligible.
(The model can be found on my blog if you still want to see it)
