Next Chilean Origami Convention is coming next July 29th and its commemorative book is almost ready. Here is a preliminary list with its models that I want to share with you. We are most proud an happy since again an amazing collection of figures, coming from many great authors in the world and specially from Latin America has arrived. It has been always our goal to create a document of high standards where to show the art of so many new creators to the world's community and to the Convention assistants. Its diagramming will be closing next weekend so I would like to invite you in case you want to be part of this beautiful collection and send us one or two of your diagrams. You can send them to convencion.origamichile@gmail.com

After it is completed, would you please post a link to pictures of all the models (and level of difficulty), as well as how we can purchase it internationally ?

Thanks,
Hank Simon

some of the models doesn't have pictures but I hope I'll fold many of them for the Convention. We will have a limited stock but I'm sure we will sell it internationally.

many regards

Hi, um. ._.'
I've got a model, but it's not like. Really well done.

http://www.thekhans.me.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6719

It's mostly the tail. I'm not sure if it should be a diamond base that keeps with everything, a kite that looks really strange in that, or a box pleat that keeps with the whole models... boxiness.
Is that good, or would you like me to do a digital version of the CP? Am I, somebody who doesn't really have much notability or recognition in origami, able to put this in there? x_x
Sorry if it's strange to ask, I'm just really proud of the little kitten I made, and I want to get my name out there ;<
I will e-mail all that there is to know CP wise for the model~
EDIT: I'm sorry, I'm just nervouse and need a lot of basic guidlines for submitting something. Just so I can, you know, do everything right. I don't want to submit a CP and have people not make it. Does the CP have to be drawn on the computer, along with its completed model?

You can't miss my submission, it's the second one in the book!

It will be available internationally? I thought all the Latinoamerican convention books were convention- and contributors-only. I guess they're changing that? Cool.

We are preparing ourselves to do the step to internationalize our Convention Book since we have received many requests from all over the world (including public libraries) and also our goal is to show and spread the great creations from the latin american new authors in the world's community, in a high standard and quality book. In fact, we are for the moment committed to redirect any funds from this initiative to the improvement of itself or for future reprinting of new editions of the same.

After the Convention we will manage the way to achieve this internationalization and try to set a new reference in the origami publications available to the folders, to include our region's contribution.

I hope have news very soon and many regards.

All the best with the convention.
Such a great explosion of creativity in South American origami!

Oh! And Andrey Ermakovs' Moai, excellent.
Book looks indispenisible.

That is excellent news! These images look beautiful.

And to whomever gets the book, you're in for a real treat with Nicolás Gajardo's Caballo. It's really an amazing design, and you'll understand more after folding it. I folded this about six months ago:
