| Does anyone know of another way of subscribing to Origami Tanteidan than sending in an international money order to Japan? Is there someone in Europe or Amercia that is an agent for them? Is there a domestic dealer for the magazine or back issues? |

June Sakamoto traditionally has done orders for westerners through paypal, as she has a good relationship with origamihouse. I can provide you with her contact info privately.
Alternatively, I actually happen to be in Tokyo for the next two days and would be happy to fill out the paperwork for a subscription if you want to wire me payment for it. _________________ -Jason

I'm also interested, could someone give to me the contact of June Sakamoto?
Now a very stupid question : I assume those magazines are only written in japanese, so could this be a problem when you fold(I mean sometimes diagrammes have some explainations...)? |

For reading the diagrams the language shouldn't be a problem. Usually the magazines include two diagrams for modular things like polyhedra or boxes and a diagram for a complex model as well as a Crease Pattern. The articles are (unfortunately) in Japanese only.
I would welcome it if they would decide to publish an English version for all there oversea members, but I doubt that that will happen any time soon. _________________ Anna |

As far as payment, you may be able to contact them via email and ask about other forms of international payment - such as via the Post Office international money orders.
I don't recall, but I think that one of the Web sites did include a little English to help with international orders...

I have long since wondered this: is there any legal way to obtain the CP's (not the diagrams, just the CP's) other than subscribing? I have always wanted to fold many of the CP's, but am not sure about paying so much for a subscription. _________________ My Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/slipknotorigami/ |

I think currently the subscription for one volume is USD 60, that would be around EUR 43. _________________ Anna |

Though you could convert euros to usd, it says on their site (http://www.origami.gr.jp/JOAS/subscribe-e.html) that you can buy it from them for 50 euros, that includes shipping.
Tanteidan is the only magazine subscription I get and it's great! _________________ Laugh alone, and the world thinks you're an idiot. |
