Monthly Folding Challenge - June 2008

Post by Daydreamer »

The theme for June is "Movies" :-)

The task is to fold a model or a scene that clearly shows what movie it is supposed to be, f.e. you could fold Indiana Jones running away from a giant stone ball or maybe a one-piece Death Star with all the laser turrets.

The following rules apply:
- one square or rectangle per model
- you can arrange several models into a scene
- no cuts, no glue, no painting
- your own original designs only (not shown before somewhere else)

anermak will be the judge

Can I use my Godzilla design to recreate a scene, even though everyone has seen it already?
I've fallen down, and I can't get up.

angrydemon, if you include at least one new model in your scene it should be fine, but it will be up to anermak if he accepts it :-)

I guess that I'll have to remember some movies to do this one. Love the idea, though!

Kaimon, with your rendering of Sadako Yamamura / Samara Morgan you are already on a good way :-)

i'll definitely work on sadako/samara a little longer before i finish that model, it's not detailed enough...
there are also a few other ideas that i am figuring out how to put into pratice right now (lord of the rings provide some interesting characters  )

Wizard of OZ

OK - Let's get this thing rolling - I guess I have to be first again. Here is TIN Man - From the "Wizard of OZ" and NO I was NOT alive in 1937 but just 8 years later I began my folding career.

*Sigh* I was planning on folding something for the challenge this week, but seeing as exams are coming up... I don't think I'll have much time.

I'm up at 4:30 in the morning now, studying for my last final in Philosophy. 'Ugh', is all I have to say.

I really want to present something this month. Great theme. I'm just hoping I'll have all the time I expect to have when I go home in a few days.

Anyway, nice work, firstfold. Are you planning on making a scene out of it? You could tesselate a yellow brick road and make his hatchet and oil can, haha.

Wow... I really like the road, nice job! I might get a chance to fold my entry tomorrow, turns out that I don't have exams again until Wednesday.
