Thank you! The doll is so lifelike partially because her face was done by an artist, and because her body is very pose-able. I managed to get her for free

Well, I suppose it looks a bit owlish because of the horns....but I don't think it looks like an owl's face. It has a human mouth.

I think it looks too owlish because the head is too big. You should to make it smaller, and use some of the extra paper to make flaps for the hair.
