I tried the hermet crab from Satoshi's cp, but I don't know how to do the shell and the paper which should make the shell is crumpled up from my pitiful attemts at making shells.
I assumed the shell used for the hermit crab was the turban shell Kamiya taught, but I never learned it.

If you have seen Origami Sea Life by Montroll and Lang, the Murex and Spider Conch use it-basically it is a 22.5 degree angle flap that is folded around in a spiral (four folds make a complete circle). Kamiya's, however, uses reverse folds instead of valley folds. Grrrr it is hard to explain folds in just words hope this gives you some idea of how it is supposed to go...
Yes that is the basic idea! Now you need to rabbit ear the points that stick out-this has the effect of making spikes and rounding out the shell. After that you can puff out the shell so it is more of a spiral tube.
