Well then, it's June and it's up to me to choose the winners of this challenge. The decision was very hard because there were a lot of nice submissions, so first off congrats to everyone who participated.
The third place goes to firstfold for his Roboticus Insetamungus. This is a really ingenious and different idea of creating an insect. I love the way it moves
The second place goes to Android raptor because her Madagascar Hissing Cockroach clearly shows that insects don't have to be complex to look very realistic.
The clear winner is Fishgoth. I couldn't decide which of his three submissions is the best, they are all great. I hope we'll be seeing diagrams for some (or all) of them sometime
So the honours of judging the next challenge and deciding the challenge for July go back to Fishgoth. He can decide to share this function with his co-winners.
The thread for the next challenge will come shortly.
Edited according to Android raptor's comment. Sorry about that. I shall remember

I'm speechless! I can't believe I got a place at all, let alone Second place! I was thinking that mine was too simple compared to the others, but I was wrong! One thing though: for future reference, I'm female. I don't take offense to being thought to be a guy (I understand why due to my masculine-sounding name), though it does lead to confusing/awkward situations. Now that that's cleared up, does anyone want me to make some photo diagrams for my hisser?
Sounds great! I like the hisser quite a lot.
I especially admire fishgoth's wasp
To be honest, I thought that if I folded a lot of insects, I would stand a better chance of winning. I'm not at all disappointed by the results, but rather proud that I managed to fold them all. Thanks to this topic, I realized how fun and easy it is to fold insects
