Since the model is NOT box-pleated, you won't get far no matter what grid size you choose. A rough estimate would be that the pleats on the outside are about 1/47.5 of the side length. (seeing that each of the five repeated structures is about 9.5 pleats in length)

The best you could do for starts is to fold fifths horizontally, since the structures on the left and right side are repeated five times. After that, here's what I would do:

Measure the location of the red dot which is probably the most important reference point for this model and input the data into reference finder.

From this point I would have all the data necessary for folding the left and right side of the model. As for the rest of the model, have fun :twisted:

can someone figure out the head? does anyone know how to collapse it i tried and succeeded except for the head and legs I don't know if i did it right

Whoa i was researching more about this model and it is a character from the movie my neighbor totoro and i remebered my (weird) cousins gave me that horrible movie a few years back. :lol: im cracking up
