wouldn't it just be easier to fold the simplified version and make some pleats for the remaining tire tracks? as opposed to a billion little sinks?

I've made the model four times. I diagramed the CP only in my personal jornal. The first few times looked terrible, but I almost have it. I just have problems with the body. Everything else is good! 8)

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but as the cp in the Tantedan #14 convention book shows, there are twice as many pleats as shown in the other cps. This may be why you have trouble getting your model to look like in the display.

I've always wandered why mine always come up a little fat!

Actually, the extra pleats are only on the tracks, formed by adding a box-like structure. If your model is fat, thin it down after folding it. Sorry for any misclearity. In my Wall-e, I did not do so, as my paper was too small. I will post a picture soon (hopefully).

Here is my horrible second attempt at the model. At least its better than the first one (which I wold rather not show). Made from a CP glued to foil.

PS: Sorry I only post links, I can't figure out how to put just a picture.

I was talking about the treads, my body is fine. Only if I had a working camera, I would show you.
