Maybe I missed it, but what kind of paper are you all using? Kraft paper? Thanks for all the photos and tutorials, btw!

I used parchment paper I got at a nearby art supply store. 60 cents apiece ain't too bad. It's much better for modulars or simple models though.

http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/kade-x/artic ... &l=a&fid=8 gives the CP, but can anyone tell me what size paper I should use or give the steps to folding the magic ball, because I can't figure it out from the CP alone.

.... I think I did an adequate job explaining the steps on the previous pages of this thread. Did you check there?
I used something around 30cm I think....

I used Elefantenhaut... that worked very good. after finishing it, I made it wet and after drying it, it had a perfect strenght :)

I used two pieces of scrapbook paper taped together. It was working well until all the folding and unfolding of those waterbomb bases. All the points tore and it just looks ugly. :x What is this Elefantenhaut you are talking about TheRealChris?

Is it elephant dung paper? That's my best guess.

Elephant dung is different than elephant hide. Elephant dung is made in India or Thailand I think and it is actually made from dung while elephant hide is NOT made from elephant hide. It is a very strong paper suitable for models in which you have to fold and unfold many times, since it is so strong that it doesn't tear. It is made by Zanders in Germany and sold in the US by Marble so over there it is also known as Windstone Marble.

There was a rumor that elephant hide was being discontinued but it is not so.

i finshed folding it but where do you assemble it or connect it together?
i read a previous reply and it said you have to combine first and last rows together and use glue. i dont get what that means

I think the best way to do it is to unfold the last few rows on each side. Glue the very first and last rows together so that their creases sit right on top of eachother (so waterbombs sit on top of waterbombs). When you collapse the whole thing again, it should basically fold itself, as long as you matched up the creases right.

Does anyone know if Sipho has published a CP for his fugu?

Don't think so. Though I think someone has reproduced it (with a few clues from Sipho).
Making the pattern in the easy part. I got a pretty good looking mouth and eyes, but the fins are the trickiest. You have to somehow get flaps between the pattern for the fins. You can see the pattern breaks near the fins but I haven't been able to figure out exactly how he did it.
