Agreed. There are TONS of articles on CP collapsing here but that still doesn't make up for experience: practice, practice, practice. XeniX has even kindly shown a step by step PHOTO diagram of the collapsing process. I'm not trying to discourage you. Just give it another shot I'm sure you can do it.

Here's some clues.
The bottom part of the model, first crease from the edge of the paper is a mountain fold, then goes valley, mountain and valley into the middle. The diamond in the middle is mountain folds around the edge. Look carefully at the middle, and there's a kind of waterbomb base going on. . Bash away! It CAN be done, and YOU can do it. One day

Whilst I agree it is a relatively easy CP, sometimes you need that extra help. To this end, I've nearly finished a photgraphic guide. It will help you get the basic shape sorted, highlighting what I consider to be key steps, but the wet folding and finishing will be down to you.
It should be up in about a week or so, after its been proofed and tested by one of my folding friends.
Ideally it will be a PDF, but it may be a Word file initially until I can get to a PC that lets me do a decent conversion. God, I wish I had indesign...
And, of course, it will be free!

I believe that there are free PDF converters available, altho quality varies by use.
https://www.pdfonline.com/convert_pdf.asp
http://www.docudesk.com/PDF_software_do ... OAodXGKJGA (5 conversions free)
And an old method:
http://kenchiro.tripod.com/howtoPDF.html
Google free convert PDF ... or remove the word "free" to see lots.

I use
PDFcreator to convert any document to PDF file.
It's free!
After installing the PDFcreator you can use it as a printer. Just choose the PDF creator as the printer and "print" PDF file.

This is a dwarf I folded.
By the way, can anyone help me figure out the Cp of the dwarf playing the trombone:
I see that Gonzalospinettte was successful in making a similar model, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get in touch with him to get more info about the model and how he made the Cp of this model..

Hi all. I just stumbled across this forum while working on Joisel's dwarf. With a little help from this thread, I managed to fold it. Thanks to everyone who posted advice!

Wow that's really impressive! I can't wait for this guide ... my dwarves are looking a little weird even with the pointers given.

I did the dwarf with the cp of

the variations
I molded the face in order that the expression is obvious. I did the skirt seeing the photos of the dwarf.

What did you use to fold that dwarf, letranthedung?

To Foxglove: I used a popular kind of wrapping paper in Vietnam.
TO Gonzalosspinettta: I have long known that Joisel creat this Musician from the base called "DWARF No1" . But I failed to draw out its Cp to make the base.

I see. I wish America could import this wrapping paper that everyone in Vietnam seems to use.
