I usually do not note any "hint" how to "improve" the author's model, because it is author's view of the subject and I cannot to force my view (usually very different). But I will make exception in this case, I hope, childofsai will excuse my forwardness.

Try make the bar handle color-change and the triangle with spacing at the corner. I know, it is easy to say it and difficult or impossible to do it, but...

Well what do you know - I managed it! :D

(I'm thoroughly chuffed with myself :P )

Thanks Ondrej - be as forward as you like!! I'm no creator, but when I thought of this idea, I wanted to be the one to create it :)

Nice completed triangle...It looks pretty darn good :)... especially considering that it plays a theme on the challenge.

Well, actually, I only just got that you were folding a triangle from a triangle just now... previously, I just thought that it was a kind of cool model :)

Incredibly good! Nice paper and very clean folds, my only complain is the crumple on the stick...

Cute, it looks like a baby tortoise.

I looked at this months' challenge, and realized it'd be perfect in combination with some of the minimalist ideas I was playing with about a year ago.

I totally agree. My obsessive nature hates stuff like that... The layers are a bit weird there, so I couldn't get that sorted as I would have wanted.

Maybe once I pull my finger out and do diagrams...

The first thing that naturally came to my mind when thinking on a triangle was a bat.
Folded from half a 16cm square of tissue foil:

An updated model, I think it still needs work. (see larger picture on my flickr, the medium size was a bit too large)

I actually have three things to submit. Two minimalistic ones, and one that I am really proud of. I cut an equilateral triangle from a 6 inch square for my main one, and the leftover right and scalene triangles became my other entries.

First: Longhorn, from a 45 degree right triangle.
Image

Second: An eel from a long triangle, consisting of 4 folds.

My third, and main design won't look good at all with just a webcam picture, so I'll unveil it when have access to a camera
