Monthly Folding Challenge - November 2008
Posted: November 1st, 2008, 5:53 am
The theme for this month's challenge is Video Games.
The goal of this challenge is to fold something that appears in a video game-not physical things such as video game consoles, CDs, computers, etc. but actual people, creatures, or things portrayed in the game. These things must be identifiable as being from a specific game. For example, if you fold a dragon, it must be identifiable as a specific dragon-Bahamut from Final Fantasy, for instance, not just a generic dragon (try not to fold something from Spore, or something else that is also ridiculously customizable ). Try thinking about video game characters, enemies, weapons, items and accessories, and vehicles.
To get you started, and to help give ideas to those who are not gamers, here is a short list of possible games to consider (the challenge is not limited to this list-you may choose from any video game from any system).
Mario
Zelda
Final Fantasy
Donkey Kong
Halo
Counterstrike
Soul Calibur
Pikmin
List the video game that your entry appears in along with a picture of your design.
For the actual folding, just about anything goes:
-Use any shape of paper (squares are preferred, but not required)
-Use any number of sheets of paper
-No cutting, tape, or glue (MC is allowed)
Sunburst won the October challenge and thus will judge this month's challenge and choose the topic for December's. Have fun!
