The theme for July is ''Pirates of the Caribbean"

The task is to fold a model or a scene that clearly shows what theme it is supposed to be, f.e. you could fold ships or pirates you could fold scene with many models, and this may be scene by movie ''Pirates of the Caribbean" like this

The following rules apply:
- one square, few square or rectangle per model
- no cuts, no glue, no painting
- your own original designs only (not shown before somewhere else)

chosetec will be the judge on july

Enjoy

Sounds like a good challenge, seeing as there are many different strange characters on the movie.
Heres a site that could help:

Dang! It seems I won't be able to upload my kraken design. However, it seems the Davy Jones is the obligate winner, who will design it???

Given the circumstances, I think his name will be BRIAN CHAN.

Lol, I was trying to design a Davy Jones model for the previous contest, but I didn't finish it in time. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it this month.

Hidden Treasure:

There is more to this than meets the eye -

The question is - What is inside?
I can tell you it is folded from the same rectangle as the chest but it won't be open for viewing until July 25

The heard of Davy Jones perhaps? That would fit in with the movie...
Anyone going to try their own version of Attack of the Kraken?

As long as it doesn't have to be one square, I think it might be easier to just design a ship and a kraken, and put it together. :D

Nice model and use of paper. I think we're all wondering what's inside.

Now could I make a suggestion that we all try to take good photos of our works? By good, I mean properly set up, with appropriate background and lighting. It should also go without saying that we should fold all models well (don't post just the first draft unless it's exactly how you planned it) and with the best paper we have available.

If it's ok with everyone I'll be judging with the above criteria in mind (i.e. presentation), as well as the design, subject matter choice and execution.

Good idea, Brian, hopefully this will force people (such as me) to take better pictures.
