Monthly Design Challenge December/January 2020
So we have a topic: Abstract
The goal is to present a coherent abstract piece that evokes some kind of reaction on the viewer.
Think that you are creating a piece like a big scale sculpture or a painting...
You can choose any kind of references you wish.
The only constraint for this challenge is to not have any constraints...
The only limit for creation is your imagination...
Good challenge to all!
PS:
Keep in mind that this is a origami challenge

Re: Monthly Design Challenge December/January 2020
Well,
I’m 75 and still alive. Born January 5, 1945.
Now, allowing that anything goes for this challenge, what I am presenting is a system for mounting origami on Mouse Ears. What else would I do when I am 75. I am going to Disney World with my Grand Daughters.
This system is made with folded metal flashing (Aluminum). The ears are attached with a bolt. All origami inside the ears is folded paper and can be removed without damage. With one exception (designed by Jeremy Shafer) all designs are my original design which have been modified to fit in the Mouse Ears Frame and is folded from rectangles.
These are very “Abstract” versions of mouse ears.

Sailing on sun dappled water by Grace Matthews, on Flickr
Made from one piece of paper with no cuts. This piece is designed to capture childhood day dreams of water breaking into ripples from the hull of a sailing boat.

Modular Kaleidoscope.
Made from 12 pieces of paper.
Rule clarification. I made this 12 piece version for the first time on the 21/1/2020 and have just discovered what you can see above, however the unit I made over a year ago so this may not be a valid entry.

"Dizzy"
This is how I am practicing for the Disney World rides when I go with my Grandchildren.
Disney is know for using Green technology. I think my version beats the Triceratops Spin because my version is entirely wind powered (and I used green paper).

Folded from two 14 x 14 cm (5 ½ x 5 ½ in) squares of duococolor paper. I made it as part of Leyla Torre's course "The Joy of Origami". You can see it here connected to a model she designed: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=14951#p152425
But I'm presenting it for the challenge with a different look, which I came up with by myself. And here's a picture of just the purple/yellow sheet:
