I've folded a few things, lately. After folding the first two, I realized that I'm not quite ready for Kamiya's models, lol.

well, they doesn't look bad to me, you have a nice and smooth touch for curved surfaces.

Seems like Star Wars fever is spreading for the 30th Anniversary...

Here are some models I folded during the OD convention in Bonn last weekend.

This frog by Roman Diaz has been one of the most popular models of this convention. After Roman has shown some of us how to fold it, people kept asking me and others to teach them how to fold it.


I've played around with this model quite a lot. For example I've added some toes
(I also had a version with a tongue and turned the model into several different weird animals...)


Kingfisher by Roman Diaz. He held a class for it.

"Twist-fold Star" by Ralf Konrad (I don't remember the original name of this model)


Cat (almost entirely) by Nicolas Terry. He didn't have a fixed folding sequence for most of the parts so a lot of the model was left to me to experiment with.


On the first evening Nicolas showed us a simple 15° base which he wanted to use to fold an ostrich. He didn't quite know yet how to do it so he challenged us to try ourselves. Roman Diaz managed to turn the base into a really amazing fish... and here's what I came up with.

Interesting stuff! I really like Roman's frogs.

This model I folded while waiting for the plane back to vienna from a triangular base Nicolas Terry showed us. He gave us the challenge to create new models with it, so here is one of them:



I very liked a bat that was on display of Peterpaul Forchers work (in memoriam). Together with Nick Robinson I tried so long to recreate it until I got a similar result. Thanks to Nick for helping me.



Something I folded from memory when getting bored during a waiting time. I know that a lot of steps are missing, but I think it´s still recognizable as Hojyo Takashi´s buddha.

A sweet little dragon Nicolas Terry showed me. I think it´s the same diagrammed in his new children´s book.



The famous Roman Diaz frog that really everyone folded at this convention, with one of the variations Gerwin invented (toes).

A try to give the traditional turtle some toes ended with a monster turtle whos shell contained many spikes.



It was a fantastic convention with many nice people, really worth visiting

WOW, Yeah you all should enjoy that convention, coild anybody show us the Roman`s Frog CP or some directions???? it is a really nice model, gretting for all of you who went to the convention i am jealous he he

yeah, I'd loved the frog ashtray that Daydreamer made for June's monthly challenge.

We are preparing July's Santiago Aerogami expo, here is my mini Lang's Night Hunter, just for fun, made from a cheap paper 16x16 cm (crazy challenge also )

I have folded a modified alien some days ago. my modification ist not that big, just some motion and a longer tail (like the alien warriors have). I will fold it once more with bigger and maybe black paper.

I modified John Montroll's Omega star (which have an open bottom) and managed to create a 'closed bottom'
