thanks everyone!
i have just posted the photos of the process of designing.
initially i fold the devil really a lot of times to understand the underlying design.
then i tried to graft it into the traditional crane =)

but then it didnt work because in the original devil model by Jun Maekawa, the fingers are formed from the corner of the square. So i shifted it to the edge of the square and adjusted the proportions =)

the earlier prototype of Devil riding a crane :

Folded with art paper. The design forms a 9 point base from a corner of the paper using traditional techniques (though somewhat tricky folds), and the stem with leaves is formed in a box-pleat method.

This was a prototype daisy for the OUSA design challenge this year. It doesn't have a color change sadly, and it doesn't really convey my feelings on origami :S. However, I have come up with something I consider far better, but I feel the outcome should be kept secret till the convention comes, in the tradition of this challenge ;p.

Very nice flower!
You've all already seen my designs for this year's OUSA challenge... See if anyone can recall what they were.

Yes, your flowers, patch of grass, and tree =p. Here is a (very bad, but not unlikely to fold) CP of my flower for those wanting to try it: http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/2389 ... dcpzw9.jpg

Diagrams for this model are now available on the Origami Austria Homepage :-)

For drawing the diagrams I slightly changed the original design for which the CP is still available.
