On the original pictures I took (with my webcam) there was no little man. Not that you would have been able to make it out anyway with the picture quality  . Thanks

Thanks for sharing those pictures Malachi.
Looks fascinating while being in progress.
Just folded a boxpleated model with 48th and a "nice" middle structure (really hate to collapse those), so I don't think I will try the hat any time soon.

So I've designed my second model (my first being my house, "Paper Thin Walls"). This one took quite some time to figure out, with still some things to fix. I wanted to make a Hawksbill Sea Turtle, after being confused by what species Kamiya's was.

The model is box-pleated, and is actually very easy to fold in my opinion. I hope to make CPs soon, as well as a tissue-foil version. Some stuff is already on my blog.

Very cool-the texturing of the shell is great. My only suggestion is to add more detail to the rest of the model-just that little extra something that brings a model to life.

I agree, Jonnycakes. Since it was kami, I couldn't shape as much as I'd have liked to. The head needs to be skinnier and the shell needs to be rounder, so tissue foil will help there. I'm in the works of putting eyes on too. It needs to be skinnier and more elegant.

Let me just say...wow. Great models. The Simplified Kawasaki Rose is very elegant. While not original, the curves are gently and yet they contort enough to bring life to the model. The telescope is very well folded-the curves are great and there are no wrinkles. Good job.

Almost forgot-I have pictures too

Spiny Orb Weaver
OK, so it isn't folded well, but I like the design.

Nameless Blossom
I couldn't think of a name for this one...except that one I guess. From a triangle.

Hex Swirl Tessellation
This is my own design, but it has probably been done.

Spearman by me
Image
It's the first draft and I think I'll touch it up later.

Getting more pictures of my flasher hat is on my to-do list...
I collapsed mine from the middle outwards, but from the outside in looks very effective also. I wonder which way is better...
My super growing flickr gallary- Check it out!

The diagram can be found on Christian's homepage:

Note his old redirector isn't working any more so you have to take the direct link.
