Wow, congratulations on making 1,000.

Here is my Parrot model refolded for my exhibit.

The design comes from Robert Lang's Songbird Base, which in turn is the traditional crow base with edge grafts. Originally I folded it for a friend who has a parrot named Kazoo.

Quite the nice parrot. It looks to me like it might be possible to make eyes...

Well, you should know we can't actually give diagrams if you read the 'rules and regulations'. Just go to the diagrams section and find the sticky 'free diagrams', or do searches online. Giving away copyrighted materials is illegal.

And now an update. This only seven out of twenty strands....

Just a simple question: Where are you going to put all these?

They're for a fellow student who became of paraplegic during a late season skiing accident. So when I give them to him he can worry about where to put it, haha.

I counted each and every one. They're all there. 20 strands, 50 each.

Did you plan out the colors in any way or did you just... string them all on?

Eh, well, the paper came in a pack of a thousand, but there were different numbers of each of the twenty colors, so I jut didn't bother with color coordinating them. And, pink had about six different shades.
If I do it again, I would like to arrange them by color, but just organizing and cutting up my kami into smaller slices would be a whole nother task in itself...
