Very nice first design moonglow, I look forward to any more you create.

Yes, its flat mostly. It comes from a 4th's sunk waterbomb base. two corners become the tree, then a wrap maneuver is performed for the foliage and pot, and then the other two corners form the locking mechanisms to help keep it in a flat shape and form the mini-boulder on one side. I wasn't sure what to do with the challenge since I'm not really interested in flowers, etc. I had decided on a pirahna plant from the Mario Bros series of games, but thought I might should design a better fitting subject that I enjoyed. I did want to design a 3-d type specific version, but I'm satisfied with this one for now at least...

I folded a variation of Satoshi Kamiya's Ancient Dragon, I folded the head and tail different and added the pleats to the belly.

Fantastic, the best Origami Giraffe I know
I like komatsu's giraffe more, because it has a more natural look

I think it's quite easy to create a giraffe, because it can easy be spotted to be a giraffe. as long as it has long legs and a long neck, everybody would say "that's a giraffe". but giraffes are more than rectangles with long sticks to be the neck :)
and again hideo komatsu did an excellent job :)

Anna, you did a very good job with the warrior, he looks excellent :)
and I didn't spot the cow-turtle

It took a little over a month but after a final late night of folding, all thousand cranes are done (I just hope I haven't lost any somewhere). I hope nobody I know gets sent to the hospital soon because I refuse to do this again until another six months.
:D
