As I was born in the year of Horse so I'm interested in folding horses or something related with horses ...
i see. so, u follow the chinese lunar calendar in vietnam too. anyway, what is it that the vietnamese eat that makes u all such talented folders? :D

regarding lang's tree frog, i folded it about 2 years ago using mulberry paper (more or less the same as the japanese unryu paper). i was hoping to find a better paper to try with, but still haven't found one. the paper u used looks quite interesting. what do u call that paper and what is the thickness? also, did u wetfold?

btw, nice dragonfly. looking forward to seeing more of your folds.

Ha ha, cavemanboon, you're jolly man :D.
I also see your folding tree frog & I think that it is the most beautiful model of frog that I've ever seen.

In Vietnam, there is no kind of paper for Origami so we have no choice to choose paper according to the model & I don't have much knowledge about kind of paper in Origami. Only wrapping papers are sold & available so almost models, I always use wrapping paper to fold & make background for each model when I take a photograph :D. This kind of paper has same color in both side, the surface is wrinkled. It's neither thin nor thick & it may be made in China :D. You can see the background of my pictures to find more details.
About wet folding, I rarely use water for folding except the Gozzila of Akira Yoshizawa :D

i took a closer look at the papers that u have used for background. they look very much like "pearl papers" or what some folders refer to as "twist papers(?)". i used pearl papers to fold ronald koh's blackmoor and tancho oranda a couple of years ago. just guessing but if it is pearl paper, then i think the thickness should be somewhere in the range of 40~60 gsm. anyway, thanks for the info.
