Origami Pop-Up System
Using these basic folds you can begin to create hundreds of origami pop-up displays that require no glue and are folded entirely from rectangles,
There are three parts that can be used to make the popup and sometimes all three parts can be made from one sheet although it is much easier to make the pop-up with two or three separate rectangles.
1 Pop-Up Card - the rectangular shaped card that holds the popup and is opened like a book. It also contains a groove that is used to link other parts to this card.
2 Pop-Up Base - This is the mechanism that provides the pop-up action. Frequently this can be the base and and the "Display"folded from a single rectangle.
3 Pop-Up Display - this is the item being displayed and can be a usual origami model adopted to attach to the Base or the pop-up card.

I've created a bunch of stars, mostly variations on models by Lupita Martínes and Mélisande*:

Re: What have you designed lately?
Here is the rough draft version of "My Heart is All Bent Out of Shapes" made from folded rectangles of cardstock and clear transparency film.
The Frame is also made from the same materials and attached without glue.
Warning: - it can take a long time to align this model correctly and position the camera for viewing. The folding is "relatively" simple.

The sizing of each piece must vary by fractions of an inch decreasing in size from back to front.

Origami : Origami - NATARAJ TANDAVA (SHIVA)
King of the Dance
Designed and folded by me from a single uncut square sheet of tracing paper
Paper size : 75cm x 75cm
Model size : 23 cm
80x80 BP
Here is Shiva, with 4 hands, standing on Apasmara (dwarf who represents Spiritual ignorance), with the ring of fire behind, telling his worshippers to be unafraid amidst the cosmic cycle of birth and death, creation and destruction...
And Here's THE Aldous Huxley explaining the iconic image much better than I ever could - https://youtu.be/32oo0oyLUdE
Some details could've been shaped better - the snake, Apasmara's hands, and the Ring of fire ( my sincere apologies to all Shiva worshippers). Surprisingly, the most difficult part of this model was the Ring of Fire!
Hope you all like it
