Re: What is your favorite genre of music?
I like rock and alternative the most. I don't like metal so much, but I do like grunge.

EM, try listening to All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, or Five Finger Death Punch. All great bands, the vocalists are amazing.

As I Lay Dying was pretty good, especially on their last album. It's too bad Tim (their lead singer) got caught up in what he did.
If you like metal, I'd also recommend August Burns Red, Demon Hunter, and The Burial.

Not to be a party pooper, but metal isn't really my cup of tea. The only metal artists I know are Led Zeppelin and Van Halen (is that how you say it?) >///< . I rather like house music, electroswing, and nu disco/french electro. Caravan Palace makes for some good listening if you're interested. Oh, almost forgot - I like Studio Killers and Owl City (electro-pop stuff). Metal's good too though.

Re: What is your favorite genre of music?
My musical interests are fairly eclectic.
I like a wide range of Orchestral music ranging from Baroque and Classical compositions all the way to modern symphonic rock and orchestral arrangements of Video game and television BGM.
I like a lot of old school roack and roll and Pop music(the local oldies station being my favorite radio station)
I like hard rock and some metal, though I tend to lean more towards the hard rock or "nu metal" side of things.
I like modern J-pop, Mandapop, and Europop.
I'm a fan of Country music, mainly of the 80s and 90s(some of the modern Country has too much of the generic American Pop influence for my liking)
Some of my fovorite Musical acts in no particular order:
Alabama
Alan Jackson
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Lordi
Voltaire
Rumi Shishido
MAHO-Dou
Elvis Presley
The Beatles
Van Canto
Cascada
Nihon Falcom's sound team(Falcom games are worth playing just for the music)
Garth Brooks
Billy Ray cyrus(on a related note, I don't like his daughter's singing)
Mozart
Beethoven(Ode to Joy being my favorite song of all time and the first song I learned to play when I decided to teach myself to play the keyboard)

Just so you know, I'm blind.
Re: What is your favorite genre of music?
i like being shown new music by someone With Good taste,,,As Im too lazy To go through hundreds OF new releases To find gems
i rely on Dj mixtapes And samples OF other Good songs ..mixcloud and Tunein radio app
these days being over 40 i prefer instrumentals to lyricism unless its factual Or melodic
i'll put UP with another "flatmate" or partners music Though I have high tolerance to wackness
