>i really want the book now... but $48 just isnt what i want to spend right now
In fact for Non European, the price is without european fees, so not 32 euro but 30 euro = 44.7 $. And Yes, I know it's still too expensive.
This difference between euro and $ is a pity !

I think the term 'Diagrams' is a bit misleading here...

It seems the English/Spanish version doesn't include those diagrams yet. If you take a look at the French or German translations the diagrams are in there.

Thank you for clarifying that Daydreamer! I just kind of felt that 6 alternate CP's for a frog, and a diagram for a triangle box didn't really deserve as much fanfare as they were being given! This makes more sense

I've update the spanish and english Bonus e-book with the 8 missing diagrams.
You can download the file here : http://design.origami.free.fr/terry/Ori ... P&diag.pdf
We would like to create this e-book as a compilation of all his diagrams taht we couldn't add in the book by lack of space.

painted paper in Origami Essence
In Origami Essence, many of the models rely on color changes for their full effect.
The beautiful "Vixen" model, for example, says:
"Favorite paper: red Tant paper, painted white on one side"
I've folded the model with some thin Duo paper. That was already a lot of fun, but the model really needs better paper to do it justice.
Does anyone have suggestions on what paint to use?
I tried Gouache, but because it is water based, the paper curled something fierce and the coverage was not very even.
Thanks, Ariel

Well, Michael Lafosse suggests that you use acrylic paint, mixed with an acrylic polymer emulsion (for every 30 grams of paint use 5 grams of emulsion) and blended with an amount of Methylcellulose equal to that of the paint. Spread a slightly dampened sheet of paper onto a sheet of glass, brush on the acrylic mixture and let it dry.
Hope that helps.

In my experience, that method kind of bleeds through the entire sheet. You get excellent results, but I think you may just need to backcoat some paper, rather than painting it. But then, I use a bunch of MC dyed with an arbitrary amount of acrylic paint.

This sounds promising, given that I've just bought my 2 year old boy a big box of crayolas.WhisperPuffin wrote:Colouring the paper with crayon then spraying with fixative works well
Based on recent experience, if I just stick my tant paper to the wall then eventually he will go over it all with the crayons thinking it is wallpaper
